None in the world is truly yours except the Guide who does always protect you and to whom therefore submission is a prerequisite to consecration. Stray not from that path. The world is all caught in the net of delusion ; the meshes of infatuation are everywhere ; instant joy is remote poison. “No power be but of Truth ; no law but of renunciation ; no word but of the Guide ; no duty but of submission to the Guide’s law ; no wealth nor deliverance, but through the mercy of the Guide.” “Death in pursuit of one’s essential nature is better than the acceptance of an alien nature, which is certain peril”—so says the Lord. “The Guide protects (the resigned) from the curse of the anchorites and the divinities and from fear of dire, inevitable death”—Goddess Parvati was thus instructed by Lord Shiva. If you have faith in this you shall have saved yourself from spells and allurements, from the trouble of having to go to the mountain : die mountain will come to you with the blessings.
